01. What is the History of Yorkshire RTC

Our club was established in 2018 under the name HD Select AFC. In 2020 we applied to the Junior Premier League to become one of their network of Regional Talent Centres. Our application was accepted and we changed our name to Yorkshire Regional Talent Centre.

We are a Regional Elite Football Development Centre.

As a formal Junior Premier League Regional Talent Centre we support talented young players to progress as far up the footballing ladder as possible.

03. What is the Progression Route within Yorkshire RTC

We are a proud partner of Emley AFC who are an established and highly respected Semi Professional Club in the local area.

This strong partnership provides a clear progression route for any players that are not successfully signed by a Pro Club Academies by the age of 16

04. What does the Training Program involve?

Our Training Program is based on a structured Training Syllabus.

Each of our age groups (U10 to U18) train for between 2 and 3 hours per week. Our training sessions cover, Core Skills, Strength, Conditioning & Agility and include Small Sided Games. Each session has clear Aims and Objectives in line with the Training Program.

05. Does Yorkshire RTC have a specific style of play?

We have a very clear and progressive playing style which we simplify with the strapline 'Possession with Purpose'.

To support this we have a Match Philosophy which is embed by our coaches and managers during training and matches.

06. Does Yorkshire RTC provide Feedback to players to aid their development?

We track the development of our players against 27 key skills and attributes.

07. What is the Junior Premier League?

The Junior Premier League (JPL) is for players who are on the cusp of professional academy football and want to be challenged by playing with other talented players in a highly competitive national league.

The league takes place on Saturday so all players can continue to play with their local clubs on Sundays.

The ethos of the JPL is 'Best against Best' and 'Development before Results'.

We are proud supporters of the work undertaken by the Kick It Out campaign.

We are 100% committed to creating a fantastic footballing environment where all players feel happy and focussed solely on achieving their potential within football. We will not tolerate any form of Racism or Discrimination. We have clear policies and procedures relating to Equality, Discrimination and Welfare and will engage with the FA Welfare Officer, other organisations and ultimately the police in the event of any issue occurring within our club.

Yes, we have a very clear philosophy and we are always looking for inspiration to improve on what we do.

10. What is VEO video technology

VEO is latest in video technology that uses artificial intelligence to video football games without having to use a cameraman.

We use VEO to record our matches and training sessions so coaches and players can learn from watching the recording. We also use the footage to help with our Player Review process.
